The Carrera Targa is a perfect compromise for those looking for a little wind-in-the-hair motoring without compromising the drive or being as conspicuous as one does with a full cabriolet.
This example looks wonderful in deep Marine blue metallic. Built in 1988, it is the later car, fitted with the more robust G50 transmission and has covered just 100,000 miles.
It has a superb service history, with a Porsche service stamp in the book every single year from new until 2003, since when it has been looked after by Strasse in Leeds. Most MoT certificates are present back to the first in 1991.
The car drives particularly well with accurate, light steering, perfect brakes and a wonderful drivetrain. It doesn't suffer the wind noise that many Targas do and the interior is in exceptional order, the heavily-bolstered optional sports seats having been retrimmed with correct materials. The bodywork is unrestored so carries light signs of its age but is in very good condition and this certainly isn't a rotten car, or it wouldn't be here with us.
It is said that there are two types of 3.2; cheap ones and good ones. This is more of the latter, but won't break the bank either.
