Aside from the legendary GT2 Evo, the Turbo S is as rare and desirable as a 993 gets.
Only 180 or so cars were produced worldwide, compared with about 1,000 of the 993 Carrera RS. PCGB quote UK production as 23 (though figures of up to 31 are banded around), against 37 for the RS.
However, rarity alone is not enough to create Porsche history, so thankfully Porsche’s Exclusiv department also made sure the Turbo S had the performance, handling, braking and looks to lift it head and shoulders above the standard car.
The engine is fitted with a pair of larger K-24 turbos and two sets of twin exhausts improving power to 450bhp. An additional oil cooler was introduced to keep heat at bay.
The suspension sits 15mm lower and features retuned sports springs and dampers.
The brakes are uprated with yellow-coloured 6 pot callipers.
Aesthetically the differences are subtle but important, including different front and rear spoilers, wing air scoops and matt silver wheels.
The opulent interior features swathes of leather and carbon fibre.
This genuinely exceptional example has covered just 11,000 miles from new and is in fabulous, investment grade order throughout.
