Porsche 911 996 GT3 Mk1 Clubsport - £42,995 

The Mk1 996 GT3 Clubsport needs no introduction. It has established itself amongst the most desirable of modern 911s. Its exceptional ability and rarity - just 28 are said to have officially come to the UK - have helped secure its place as a highly collectable modern classic.

This is a fine specimen of the breed, having covered fewer than 24,000 miles from new in the hands of 3 owners and with a comprehensive service history of stamps and receipts from Porsche Tonbridge, Parr and JZM. The first owner kept the car a little over a year, the second over five years and the most recent has owned it over six.

It drives as well as any we have had, feeling light, precise, strong and exceptionally tight. It retains all of the originally supplied items including the front part of the rollcage and fire extinguisher.

Factory options include air conditioning, stereo system and an on board computer.

All of the common replacement items have been seen to including all 3 new radiators and 2 air con condensors in 2009 at 21,402 miles and new suspension in 2008 at 17,823 miles. The car had the engine and box removed in 2005 at 12,415 miles for an inspection and although it wasn't essential at the time it was thought prudent to fit a new clutch whilst the majority of the work for such a replacement was already done.

The Mk2 may have slightly more power and the RS may be more dramatic to look at, but if it's rarity - and therefore probably collectability and future value - you are after the Mk1 Clubsport is the one to have and they are becoming exceptionally rare with low mileage and low owners.
