911 ST Evocation with FIA Papers

We are delighted to offer this very well-known 911 for sale.

Affectionately known as the‘ Hot Rod‘ it is based on a genuine RHD 2.4S 911 and was originally created for classic 911 collector Brian Burrows reputedly costing over £100,000 at the time.

From here it went to another well know enthusiast Neil Primrose before ending up with its current owner.

Following its original ground up restoration, DRY 708K has subsequently been prepared with competition in mind. Currently presented as a 911ST this car carries full FIA HTP papers and is eligible for a wide variety of events.

The current specification is as follows:

 911/83 2.7RS spec motor producing 220bhp

915 gearbox with LSD and oil cooler

 Period 100ltr fuel tank.

Bilstein dampers with 18mm rear and 16mm front anti roll bars

 9 x 15″ and 8 x 15″ genuine Fuchs wheels with Michelin TB15 Tyres.

FIA spec weld in historic cage with lightweight seats and harnesses

Brantz trip meter and full plumed in lifeline fire system.

There is an extensive history file with the car and the list of people who have been involved with it over the years reads like a who’s who in the Porsche world!

It last competed on the Tour Britannia in 2008 where it performed very strongly and will just need light recomissioning, which we can carry out at the time of sale to be used in anger again.

In the world of period 911s, original 911 STs and RS 2.7 Carreras are becoming very collectable and now commanding serious money.

DRY708K has its own interesting history being based like the originals on a genuine 911S, it is fitted with all the right bits to match the performance of these original cars plus with FIA papers the eligibility to enter the same classic events for a fraction of the outlay.
