Porsche 928S4 Automatic 1989
The 928 was originally launched in 1977 at the Geneva motor show to considerable praise and immediately gained the accolade of European car of the year‘. It was originally intended to replace the company's iconic 911 although history has shown there was a market for both models.
It combined the power, poise, and handling of a sports car with the refinement, comfort, and equipment of a luxury saloon with truly sensational styling that still looks fresh today.
It was Porsches first water cooled V8 and initially came with a 4.5 litre 16 valve engine producing 240BHP but by the time the S4 arrived this had risen to a 5.0 V8 with 32 valves producing a whopping 320BHP and a top speed of 165mph.
This is one of the very last S4s and is a UK specification C16 car originally supplied by Charles Follet of Mayfair in 1989.
Finished in marine blue with full linen leather interior piped in blue, it offers a true sense of occasion when sat behind the wheel.
