In 1992 a whole two decades after the legendary 2.7 RS, Porsche launched a super-lightweight, rear-wheel-drive only version of its new 964 dubbed Carrera RS.
It was based on Porsche’s 911 “Carrera Cup” race car and featured a revised version of the standard
engine, titled M64/03 internally, coupled to the G50/10 transmission with closer ratios, limited slip differential, lightweight flywheel and clutch. It also had a track-oriented suspension system with 40 mm (1.6 in) lower ride height, stiffer springs, different shock absorbers with adjustable anti roll bars, aluminium bonnet, thinner glass, Lightweight interior, seam welded bodyshell and it was available in three variants N/GT, Lightweight or Touring.
We are delighted to offer this Touring variant for sale, one of just seven UK RHD cars that is supplied with continuous service history.
Finished in its original colour of Amethyst metallic and still fitted with its correct magnesium wheels, it currently sports genuine lightweight sports seats, an N/GT specification roll cage and a motec management system.
Obviously, these features enhance the visceral driving experience even further, however we can return the car back to its original full Touring specification if required.
A rare opportunity to acquire one of the seven UK 964 RS Touring’s.
