In 2007 Paul Stephens introduced a lightweight coupe called the PS Clubsport along side his Autoart range of cars. Created from the ethos “less is more” the Clubsport was a very light formidable car capable of showing a clean pair of heels to more modern machinery on a twisty road or circuit.
Fast forward ten years to 2017 and we are excited to launch our new Clubsport Series 2 under our PS Works programme, which again has been inspired by the road going performance derivatives of the Porsche 911 and takes styling elements from all eras to create a truly individual car.
Each car is built to order, so is individual to you. An example of our Clubsport is pictured above and the specification of the pictured car is listed below.
Original Porsche 911 stripped and restored, de-seamed and fitted with PS Works lightweight panels, finished
in graphite blue from the 2017 Porsche colour sample programme with satin black grills and window frames.
3.6 993 Varioram fitted with bespoke tinware, billet pulley, early RSR type crossmember and carrier. Detailing to factory specification with cooling fan painted in graphite blue to match the car. 993 RS style heater tube modi cation with rear fan delete. SSI style heat exchangers and custom rear box with two 3” outlets finished in matt black.
0-60mph in 5.0 seconds; top speed 175mph, 295BHP
Wheels and tyres:
Fuchs style Fifteen 52 Outlaw rims finished in matt black and RSR matt silver with Yokohama AD08R tyres.
Restored and fitted with new KW 3 way adjustable dampers.
Getrag G50 5 Speed with Quaife ATB limited slip differential, 993RS clutch and flywheel.
Original 3.2 Carrera with refurbished callipers, new discs and pads. Note: With the reduction of nearly 300kg in weight over the donor car, bigger brakes and torsion bars are not advised unless serious track use is anticipated.
Front seats – ST style, trimmed in black leather with black, red and white perpita inserts, rear seats-deleted. Door cards finished in black leather with perpita door pockets, 964RS door handles, webbed door pulls and seatbelts finished in red.
Lightweight black carpet bound in leather with drivers heel pad and foot rest trimmed in ribbed rubber. Dashboard and door tops trimmed in black leather with white stitching around instrument cluster. Knee roll with ashtray deleted. Black perforated headlining. Dials – recalibrated to match the engine specification and increased top speed, RPM and speedo reversed for improved visibility and central RPM redline. Dials are finished in black with white numerals and pointers.
Instrument panel – Converted to early style without switches and finished in satin black. Momo dished 360mm steering wheel, in black leather with white stitching and red position marker.
Front lenses orange, rear lens red. Headlamps uprated to LED units with clear front lenses.
