CLASSIC TOURING SERIES II

The 911 2.2 and 2.4 models from 1970-1973 are probably the prettiest cars Porsche have ever made and the ’S’ variant being particularly desirable with its higher performance engine. Iconic status was sealed when Steve McQueen used his road car for the opening scene of the film Le Mans in 1971.

 

The Paul Stephens Classic Touring, has been created for the discerning owner who appreciates the authentic timeless style of the 911 from this period, but seeks increased refinement and attention to detail, in a car that is suitable for daily use.

PERFORMANCE AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

The Classic Touring is powered by a 3.2 240BHP flat six air cooled engine that provides strong flexible performance, whilst the Classic Touring S is powered by a 3.4 litre version, featuring a Paul Stephens developed ITB injection system and sports cams, to produce a heady 290BHP.

 

With a 100BHP increase over the original 2.4 911S (think about that figure) a substantial increase in torque too, the 3.4S will dash to 60mph in under 5 seconds and power through 160mph with ease, ensuring your Classic Touring will surprise more than a few drivers of more modern machinery.

DEPENDABLE

The rebuilt and technically improved mechanicals provide a reliable and enhanced driving experience for the requirement of today’s motoring. With 12,000 mile service intervals and the ability to run on unleaded fuel, the Classic Touring and Classic Touring S are equally comfortable for the weekday working commute, or simply as a weekend blast.

 

Each car when completed, is supplied with a 3 year 60,000 mile warranty, for total piece of mind.

THE OFFICE REDEFINED

The interior will be instantly familiar to the classic 911 driver, each panel and control looking like it should do and the steering wheel falling perfectly to hand. However, unlike an original, these are in fact our own, faithfully recreated with modern production tolerances of fit and finish, before being trimmed or machined from the finest materials. The theme continues with a Paul Stephens Design 370mm steering wheel personalized to you.

 

A number of bespoke options including air conditioning, electric seats/ heated seats, a modern audio/ communications package and bespoke luggage are available to further enhance the special experience, whilst sat behind the wheel.

STYLISH PERFORMER

The new exterior of the Classic Touring faithfully captures the appearance of the cars from the early 70s and is created from a fully restored bodyshell.

 

The Coupé comes with an electric sunroof as standard, whilst the Targa has a removable roof panel, for the real open air experience.

 

Beautiful styling and a bespoke interior never let you forget you are driving something very special, whilst the brisk performance and sure footed handling, ensure you can still out-perform most modern cars with ease.

Front and rear torsion bars with 22mm anti roll bar front and 21mm roll bar rear, Bilstein Nurburgring sport dampers all round.
Option: KW3 fully adjustable dampers (S only).

STEERING:

Rack and Pinion.
Option: All models - electric power steering.

BRAKING SYSTEM:

Classic Touring: Hydraulic dual circuit brake system with servo.
Ventilated discs (282.5mm front and 290mm rear|) with two piston callipers.
Classic Touring S: As Classic Touring with 4 piston 986 Porsche callipers all round.

Type 915 5 speed with single dry plate disc clutch.
Option: Getrag G50 5 speed with hydraulic clutch.
Limited slip differential: Standard on 3.4S, optional on Classic Touring.
