VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

In 1999 Porsche launched a new limited edition of its 996 model called the GT3. In typical Porsche fashion, it was visually similar to an aero equipped standard car, but it was a very different machine from a technical perspective. A Generation 2 model followed in 2003 before an all new 997 GT3 arrived in 2006. The engine was still based on the original Mezgar crankcase but featured all new internals, and power was up to 415BHP @ 7600RPM, allowing the 0-60MPH dash to come up in 4.3 seconds whilst top speed increased to 193MPH. The biggest gains were made with the new aero and chassis package, allowing the 997 GT3 to shave 12 seconds off the previous models' lap time on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

The successful GT3 formula has continually evolved through to the present day, with the latest 992 GT3 having recently been launched to universal acclaim, however, some feel that the modern car is possibly just a bit too good, particularly on our roads today. We think the 997GT3 strikes the perfect balance between the raw experience of the earlier 996 GT3 and yet is modern and refined enough to take a European road trip in its stride, yet not disgrace itself if you decide to fit in a track day or two while on route.

We are pleased to offer this immaculate 2007 model year 997 GT3 for sale, originally supplied by Porsche Centre Cardiff and finished in Grand Prix white with the following specification.
